My Lord,

I regret to inform Your Lordship

that on the 24th instant Mr. E. J. Meugens, Second Boarding Officer in the Harbour Department, died at the

Government Civil Hospital, the cause of death being cirrhosis of the liver.

2. On the 26th instant, I sent Your

Lordship a telegram requesting that information of the

death may be conveyed to Mrs. Meugens, of 20, Church Street, Taunton, Somerset.
